This project involved the complete construction of a new 2,000m² facility, featuring a high-end showroom, workshop, offices, staff amenities and an onsite carwash. Challenges such as in-ground contamination and the removal of overhead power lines were successfully navigated.
​In the early design stages, Gareth provided crucial cost and construction advice to the Principal. Given the need to fast-track the construction phase, he played a key role in selecting building products, refining construction details, and coordinating the design. His expertise ensured that material costs, lead times, construction safety, compliance with NZ building codes, and future maintenance were all carefully considered. Regular cost and programme estimates were provided during detailed design to guide the client's decisions on the project’s final scope and specifications.

After Building Consent approval and formalising the construction contract, Gareth took on Project Management responsibilities until the main structure was completed, while also continuing his role as Quantity Surveyor for the remainder of the project. The result was a well-executed build, completed on time and to a high standard of workmanship.
