Our story begins with Charlie, the hands-on co-founder of Colab Construct, whose journey started as a builder by trade. Charlie honed his skills on high-end architectural projects, developing a keen eye for detail and a passion for excellence.

Before establishing Colab Construct, Charlie held the role of Operations Manager at the award-winning residential building firm, Jim the Builder. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in delivering premium, architecturally designed homes that consistently exceeded client expectations. This experience cemented his reputation for meticulous craftsmanship, seamless project management, and dedication to quality.

One notable example of Charlies recent residential work is his own bespoke family home in Tai Tapu, created in collaboration with a small, local boutique architectural firm.

 

This project featured exceptional craftsmanship and high-quality finishes, including privately sourced and machined Siberian Larch weatherboards, which added a unique and timeless character to the home.
